Glad to know I am not the only one

i've been lurking on this board all morning and reading all the articles about dating/having a relationship with a jw.

because, as many people seem to, i find myself in that situation.

i am confused becuase the jw guy is not a very consistent jw in a lot of ways.

Welcome Wendy!

Be careful with him. Don't lose yourself before you know for sure who he is, and where he stands with his religion. He may be on his way out, or he may insist on stringing you along to change you. Either way choosing to be involved with the religion/cult is a burden. There are paranoia's, other mental issues, no happy hollidays, judgemental in-laws...I would never choose it for my daughter. If you were to marry you would be asked to sacrifice your child if she ever needed blood.

Have you ever had a premonition ?

i think i have a few times in my life, but the one i had most recently really shook me up.

it was really a re-occuring thought and feeling more than anything else .i preceived it as something happening to me when in reality it happened to some one close to me.

it sounds stupid , doesn't it ?

electromagnatism...can do some wierd stuff. Our brains are electrical. So who knows. There is just so much we don't know, but I am all for Oprah's advice, obey your intuition.

Wow, didn't expect this

well, got a call from my sound assistant...to see how i am doing.. this brother suffers from frequent feelings of low self-worth and is actually one of the people my wife and i feel comfortable talking with.

he asked where i have been...i said taking care of my wife.

i told him that my wife has expressed the very real possibility she will hurt herself to me...and that i couldn't live with myself if i was giving a talk at the congo and that happened.

I hope your wife will be ok and gets proper help for depression if that is what's going on.

It can sure be a shock when people you think are solid as rocks in the org come out of the closet.

I think it runs in families too. My mother had experiences. I have many more and in many different ways. I had written about a recent powerful event on a past thread, and just found out that psychics call it, "sending out an SOS" some of us receive them from others either dying or in grave danger. I am at a place in my life where I am very fascinated with it and wonder what I am to do with such a gift. When your young you feel a little different but you don't realize that this is not normal. It is paranormal and not everyone has it, but you don't fully realize this until you get older. It is probably another reason I have always been able to train/communicate with animals. I was a professional horse wrangler and have always had close friendships with all sorts of animals.

I also believe that some of us, or maybe all have angels that watch out for us. I know there is more to life than what our eyes can see. My goodness, who woulda thought we would have found protons and neutrons in an atom!!! How small is that! A hundred years ago they would have called us NUTS for even considering such a thing.

...premonitions, deja vu's..all very normal stuff for me. I have them all the time. Sometimes I know exactly what the next word will be spoken, the next step somebody will take, sometimes it is as if I have the chance to relive the moment differently because I've already experienced it going a way it doesn't have to.

Easter Sunday I had a big one. It is all too complicated and personal to get into. The dubs tried to tell me it was demunz...nope it's just me. I call it; sensitive intuit...I feel and sense things that science has yet to name. Perhaps by the time they find the everything theory that explains all the working of the universe, then it will have a scientific name for sensitive intuits.

This isn't a biblical teaching, just a cult teaching.
